‘If you love something, you cannae stop doing it’, is a great Scottish expression, that signifies a heritage of living life to the fullest. Sadly though, Scotland also has one of the highest drug death rates in Europe, with over 1300 people a year dying from overdose.
This is Cannaebiz, the podcast about the ‘cannots’ of cannabis.
There have been many great strides in the green rush of cannabis legalisation, but there have also been plenty of pitfalls and cautionary tales.
Where some places the plant can flourish and grow for all to study and enjoy, and others prison or even worse is the punishment for horticulture.


So why not do what Portugal, Uruguay and Canada have done and legalise cannabis in Scotland?
Using the Canadian method, it could add almost £1 billion sterling to the coffers which could be used for health care, policing and education. Not to mention the huge potential tourism boom that would come from legalising cannabis in a country renowned for its natural splendour and fantastical creatures. Who wouldn’t want to get stoned on Loch Ness looking for Nessie?
Lady heroin is the choice of Scottish addicts, with fentanyl increasingly being found in powders and pills imported from across the world. Just like Thanos, ‘fentanyl is coming’, and can kill the biggest army in the universe in just a finger full of the stuff.
Cannaebiz is three middle-aged Canadian men asking the age old question, ‘what the heck is growing on here?’
